One of the best ways to get connected to the New City community is to serve in one of our church and community ministries. You can do so in one of four core ministries: New City Kids, The Arts, Worship, and Prayer.
New City Kids
Your little ones will love coming to New City Kids. Through hands-on activities, interactive songs, and animated story-telling, New City Kids volunteers are dedicated to helping your children learn about the great things God has in store for them. In addition, our safety and monitoring system is fantastic (we promise we won’t lose them). Interested in serving in New City Kids? Sign up to serve.
The Arts
Strategically located in the middle of a thriving arts scene, New City seeks to serve and interact with the artist community by providing a venue to showcase local talent. Check out the New City Gallery every First Friday for a rotating art exhibition. The downtown space also operates as a creative co-working environment open to the public. Contact us if you are interested in displaying your art in the gallery.
Worship
While New City recognizes that worship is more than rocking out on a Sunday morning, music is an important part of the service. Expect to croon to modern tunes. (Think David Crowder meets Coldplay meets Jesus.) If you’re a singer/songwriter, drummer, bassist, or are otherwise musically inclined, let us know, there may be a place for you on the New City worship team!
Prayer
Conversing with God is one of the most important things you do as a Christian. New City continually recognizes the role of prayer in changing our world. Whether you’re reciting the Lord’s prayer or feel as if you’re having a conversation with a friend over coffee, prayer is a vital part of seeking a more intimate relationship with God.
