Nestled in the heart of downtown Phoenix is the New City Studio space. This 1920s historic home is a cozy, urban venue allowing New City to serve the business, college, and artist communities that surround it. Currently, the house is used for the First Fridays art walk, small business events, looking cool in front of our friends, and anything else that allows us to strategically interact with our community.
The vision for the gallery space is to connect with Phoenix by speaking a language that is common to all: art. Strategically located at 812 N 2nd Avenue, New City Studio is in the middle of the burgeoning Phoenix arts scene. This is one avenue we use to engage our culture in a way that is purposeful and relevant. Local artists are invited to display their work in the gallery’s rotating art exhibit on the First Friday of every month, part of the nation’s largest art walk. As the New City community expands, so will the uses of its studio space. From housing the church offices, to a creative co-working space, to an arts education venue, the vision is for church to intersect with culture seven days a week.
