New City Kids

New City’s children’s ministry seeks to create a safe and welcome space for your little ones. While there are plenty of fun hands-on activities, the primary goal is to ensure your children have a meaningful experience. Children’s Ministry may have changed since you were a kid, so here’s what you need to know:

  • What to Expect:
As a New City parent, you can expect your child’s class to be both a fun and spiritually engaging space. Not only are the New City Kids leaders required to pass story-reading and sing-along exam, they genuinely love kiddos and volunteer to serve them. Rest assured, your little ones are in good hands.
  • First Time Guests:
To ensure a smooth check-in the first time around, arrive a couple minutes early. This will help you get the lay of the land and register your child in New City’s secure check-in system. Click on the map, so you don’t get lost on the way!
  • Parents:
The best teacher for your child is you. New City wants to equip you with the tools to engage your child in their spiritual development. Pick up a weekly “small talk” card to find out what your child is learning, so you can keep the discussion going at home. You can also subscribe to the monthly small talk email to get a head-start on upcoming curriculum.
  • Fun, Age-Appropriate, Safe:
Whether learning to crawl or learning to read, New City volunteers design curriculum to meet your child where they’re at. Your child’s safety is our utmost concern. All volunteers pass an application process and background check (not to mention CIA training and secret agent bootcamp). Please clarify any special concerns, including allergies, custody issues, or special needs to your child’s classroom leader.
