At New City, our group life begins with Core. It will help set the foundation for you as you take the next steps of your discipleship journey with us. During this experience, you will explore how to live as a disciple of Jesus today, as well as learn more about New City’s vision. You’ll work in our Core devotional and gather with a group each week to discuss it. Typically, we want everyone to go through Core before joining any other community or seasonal groups available each semester.

Marriage 201 is a new, separate class designed for couples who have been married for 5 years or more and desire to build a stronger marriage. We will take biblical principles and apply them to what we know about marriage from the leading scientific marriage research. Whether a couple finds themselves in crisis or just looking to grow their relationship in community, the principles that we’ll explore in this class will help every relationship! In order to engage in discussion every week, each couple is required to purchase “The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work” by John Gottman. You can find the book here.

Marriage 101 is an 7-week class designed for engaged and newly married couples desiring to create a biblical foundation for their marriage.There is a $35 course fee required per couple. Unless alternative arrangements are made, this class is required for anyone wanting to be married by a New City pastor.
