Basic Training is a one-day faith training for prospective/current foster and adoptive families that serves as an introduction to the ministry of foster care and adoption. There are lectures, group interaction, couple/individual activities, and short videos every hour. You will hear from a parent panel and engage in multiple Q & A times throughout the day. Lunch & materials are included.
All New City men are welcome to join us at The Yard to hang out and enjoy food, drinks and games. It will be a good time to meet and connect with other men in our community. No registration needed, just show up!
The spring semester of New City Moms begins on January 14 & 15. Twice a month we’ll share breakfast, hear from guest speakers, and engage in meaningful discussion. Cost is $30 for the semester.

All men at New City are invited to join us for a day of skiing or snowboarding and community in the mountains outside Flagstaff! We will leave from New City Church for Snowbowl at 5:30 am to ride up together and enjoy the day in the snow, then return to Phoenix by 9 pm that night. Everyone will be responsible for their own lift ticket and ski/snowboard equipment. We talk about the Bible a lot. We read it and we preach from it, but have you ever wondered how it originated and how it was transmitted to its current form? Or whether there are any tips to help you read your Bible and glean more wisdom from it? Join us as Dr. Amanda Jenkins leads us in a three-hour course, exploring both complex and simple questions related to the Bible. As a full-time faculty member at GCU’s College of Theology and Theological Seminary, as well as an active attendee at New City, Dr. Jenkins wants the Bible to feel accessible to all people.
From greeting to kids ministry, there are so many ways to get involved in serving at New City! Representatives from various ministries will be available in between services to answer questions and help get you connected.
Starting on January 19, we’re asking for new health and beauty items and Valentine’s treat donations for Hope Women’s Center! We’re looking for: tampons, pads, nail polish, lip gloss, lotion, candy and $5 gift cards. Please bring any donations to the Welcome Bar. Once we’ve collected the donation items, we’ll gather together on February 4 to assemble care packages! All women are invited to join us for community and collaboration at this evening social. We’ll put “Galentine’s” care bags together, make cards, enjoy dessert and pray for those who serve, lead and rely on Hope Women’s Center.
